Our rating
What we like
- TNRV claims the #1 Amazon third-party EMR pen position for Kindle Scribe based on sales rank
- 4096 pressure levels stated across multiple pen models — matching the spec of the original S Pen in that dimension
- 10-pack replacement pen tips covers both Kindle Scribe Pen and Galaxy S Pen in one purchase
- Cases include built-in S Pen holders, keeping the pen with the phone
- Galaxy Z Fold 5 case with S Pen holder addresses a pain point for Fold users who want integrated pen storage
Watch out for
- Third-party replacement — not made by Samsung or Amazon; no official compatibility certification listed
- Galaxy S23/S24/S25 Ultra pen explicitly lacks Bluetooth — Air Actions and remote features will not work
- Several pens are listed as OUT_OF_STOCK at time of research; in-stock availability varies by model
- No official TNRV website found; all support and returns go through Amazon
- Kindle Scribe Colorsoft Case carries only 3 Amazon ratings at time of research — insufficient review base to assess quality
What TNRV Makes
TNRV is a third-party accessory brand that makes replacement stylus pens, pen tips, and protective cases for Samsung Galaxy devices and Amazon Kindle Scribe tablets. The brand is not affiliated with Samsung or Amazon — its pens are third-party EMR (Electromagnetic Resonance) styluses that work on the same technology standard as the original S Pen and Kindle Scribe Pen.
TNRV’s own brand description positions it as the number-one Amazon third-party EMR pen brand for Kindle Scribe based on sales rank, citing approximately 21% conversion on its listings. Whether that claim is current and the methodology used to arrive at it are not independently verifiable. What is verifiable: the 10-pack replacement pen tips carries 210 Amazon ratings — the deepest review base of any TNRV product reviewed here.
There is no official TNRV website. All TNRV products are sold through Amazon, and all customer support and returns go through Amazon’s standard channels.
Replacement Pens for Galaxy S Ultra and Z Fold
TNRV’s Samsung pen products split into two groups: S Ultra pens and Z Fold pens.
For the Galaxy S23, S24, and S25 Ultra, TNRV offers a replacement stylus with 4096 pressure levels — the standard used in Samsung’s original S Pen for fine pressure sensitivity during writing and drawing. The critical caveat from the product title is unambiguous: this pen is “WITHOUT Bluetooth.” Samsung’s original S Pen includes Bluetooth for Air Actions — press the pen button to trigger camera shutter, skip a slide, or launch shortcuts. The TNRV pen does not offer this. For someone who uses Air Actions regularly, this is a deal-breaker. For someone who only writes and draws, the lack of Bluetooth may be irrelevant.
For the Galaxy Z Fold 5, TNRV makes a liquid silicone case with a built-in S Pen holder. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 does not have a built-in S Pen slot — neither does the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Both models support the S Pen Fold Edition as an optional accessory sold separately, but there is no built-in silo on either. A case with a holder addresses that gap for Fold 5 users who want their pen nearby. This case listing is explicitly for the Fold 5 — it does not cover Fold 6 or Fold 7, which have different dimensions.
Kindle Scribe Pens and Cases
For Kindle Scribe owners, TNRV offers two categories: replacement pens and a protective case.
The Kindle Scribe Colorsoft 11-inch replacement pen carries 4.5 stars from 29 ratings — the highest-rated pen in the TNRV lineup at the time this article was researched. The Kindle Scribe Colorsoft is Amazon’s 2025 color e-reader; the pen it ships with is an EMR stylus, and TNRV’s replacement follows the same technology. This is a newer product with a limited review base, so the rating should be treated as provisional.
The Kindle Scribe Colorsoft Case with Pen Holder and Stand has only 3 Amazon ratings. A 5-star average from three buyers is statistically meaningless for purchasing decisions. If you are considering this case, wait for more reviews before committing.
The 10-pack replacement pen tips is a practical consumable purchase: tips wear down over time, and having ten in hand means a long supply without re-ordering. The listing covers both Kindle Scribe Pen and Galaxy S Pen tips. TNRV also makes Remarkable 2 tip sets, but those are separate products — the 10-pack reviewed here is not listed for Remarkable 2 compatibility.
Shipping, Returns & Support
All TNRV products are sold through Amazon and use Amazon’s standard return and logistics infrastructure. Most items are eligible for return within 30 days of delivery under Amazon’s standard policy. TNRV has no known website or dedicated support channel — contact goes through Amazon Seller messaging.
Availability varies: several TNRV pens in the Galaxy Z Fold 5/6 and Galaxy S Ultra range were listed as out of stock at time of research. If a specific model is unavailable, check back — inventory on smaller third-party accessories tends to restock without a public announcement.
Is TNRV Worth It vs. the Originals?
The honest comparison is simple. Samsung’s official S Pen for the Galaxy S25 Ultra is the better pen — it includes Bluetooth, full Samsung warranty coverage, and guaranteed S Pen app compatibility. Amazon’s official Kindle Scribe Basic Pen is similarly the manufacturer’s product with full support.
TNRV is for buyers in a specific situation: the original pen is lost, unavailable, or out of budget, and a Bluetooth-free writing tool for note-taking is sufficient. In that scenario, 4096 pressure levels and EMR compatibility at a lower cost than a replacement original makes sense. Replacement pen tips at a lower cost than buying a whole new pen is a straightforward value for anyone whose original tips have worn flat.
How We Researched This Review
Mike researched this article using TNRV’s Amazon storefront, individual product listings, TNRV’s brand description, and a search for a TNRV official website (none found). He did not purchase or use any TNRV products. Compatibility statements in this article are taken directly from each product’s title — no compatibility has been transferred between models. The third-party nature of these products is noted throughout because it is material information for a buyer’s decision. Amazon rating counts and star figures are rounded down from the pack data at time of research.
