- Some items run in limited stock and select sizes can sell out
- Brand appeal is specific; less useful as a gift for someone unfamiliar with Morning Brew
Morning Brew launched as a business news email in 2015 and grew into one of the most widely read daily newsletters among professionals under forty. The Morning Brew Shop is the brand’s merchandise store — apparel, desk accessories, mugs, and games tied to the newsletter’s identity. It is a small, curated catalog rather than a comprehensive office goods retailer, and everything in it makes the most sense if you already know and read the newsletter.
What Morning Brew Shop Sells
The catalog breaks into four main categories: desk accessories and games (the calendar, crossword books), apparel (sweatshirts, t-shirts, joggers, hats), drinkware (mugs, water bottles), and accessories (tote bags, socks, sticker sheets). There are also a small number of professional development toolkits — interview prep guides, career mapping resources — which are digital downloads rather than physical products.
For the purposes of this review, the physical desk items and apparel are the clearest buy. The games and calendar in particular are the most distinctive products in the catalog and genuinely functional as desk objects.
The Desk Calendar and Games
The 2027 Morning Brew Games Desk Calendar is the standout piece in the range. It delivers six games per week in a tear-away daily format — the same puzzles that appear in the Morning Brew Daily newsletter. The format is functional as a planning calendar, but the games are the real differentiator: most branded desk calendars offer trivia or quotes; this one offers actual interactive puzzles per day. For anyone who already plays Morning Brew games in the newsletter, having the print version on a desk removes the phone from the equation for a few minutes each morning.
The brand also sells two volumes of crossword books, each containing 101 puzzles. These are standalone purchases — you do not need to own Vol. 1 to use Vol. 2. Buying both qualifies for the discount code CROSSWORD; verify terms at checkout.
Apparel and Accessories
The Brewneck is the core apparel item — a black crewneck sweatshirt available in sizes S through 3XL. The fleece joggers, the Classic Tee, and the Retro Brew Tee fill out the basics. The apparel is simple: clean logos, limited colorways, standard construction. It functions as casual or work-from-home wear for anyone who identifies as a Morning Brew reader.
Drinkware — the Daily Mug, the Water Bottle — is the kind of item that lives on a desk without requiring anyone to explain what Morning Brew is. For office gifting within a team of newsletter readers, these are practical choices because they get used every day without requiring any explanation.
Shipping, Returns & Availability
Standard ground shipping has a flat rate, or is free on orders above the threshold shown at checkout. Most items show limited stock quantities, and some sizes can sell out. For specific return or exchange policy terms, check the Morning Brew Shop at the time of purchase.
Is Morning Brew Shop Worth It vs. Alternatives
Compared to generic branded merchandise or standard corporate merch stores, Morning Brew Shop has a sharper identity and products that do something (the calendar, the crosswords) rather than just display a logo. For a home office setup, the desk calendar and a mug add personality to a workspace that most people want to feel less generic.
The honest limitation is selectivity: this shop works best as a gift or purchase for someone who already knows Morning Brew. If you want a high-quality desk calendar with no brand association, options like Day Designer or the original At-A-Glance line offer more variety. If the Morning Brew connection is the point — and for a lot of the newsletter’s readership, it is — this shop delivers on it.
Toolkits and Digital Products
The shop also sells a range of career development toolkits: interview question banks, raise negotiation guides, time management guides, and career mapping frameworks. These are digital downloads rather than physical products, and they are priced and positioned differently from the merchandise. They are aimed at Morning Brew’s professional audience who want structured tools rather than something to display. If productivity tools are what you are after, these are worth exploring separately from the apparel and desk items.
The Morning Brew Sticker Sheet
A small but worth-mentioning item in the range: a Morning Brew sticker sheet. For readers who use planners, laptops, or water bottles as personal branding surfaces, it is a low-commitment entry point into the shop. It also works as a filler item to push an order past the free-shipping threshold.
Who Should Shop Here
Morning Brew Shop makes the most sense for three audiences: existing Morning Brew readers who want to wear or use something that signals their media taste; people buying gifts for a professional in their life who reads business news; and teams or managers looking for a themed gift that feels more considered than a generic corporate item. The catalog is narrow enough that choosing is easy, and the quality of specific items — the calendar, the crossword books — is genuine rather than purely decorative.
